|  A magnitude 4.8 earthquake has struck the Kuril Islands at a depth of37.8 km (23.5 miles), the quake hit at 03:44:55 UTC Thursday 1st September 2011. The epicenter was 157 km ( 97 miles) South of Severo-Kuril'sk, Kuril Islands, Russia No Tsunami Warning Issued - No reports of Damage or Injuries at this time | |
