A magnitude 5.1 earthquake has struck off the New Britain Region, Papua New Guinea at a depth of 38.9 km ( 24.2 miles), the quake hit at 17:17:22 UTC Saturday 6th August 2011.
The epicenter was 14 km (8 miles) Northwest of Taron, New Ireland Papua New Guinea
No Tsunami Warning Issued - No damage or injuries reported at this time
