A magnitude 5.2 earthquake has struck the New Britain Region, Papua New Guinea at a depth of 71.8 km ( 44.6 miles), the quake hit at 03:34:12 UTC Monday 8th August 2011.
The epicenter was 40 km (24 miles) West of Kandrian, New Britain, Papua New Guinea
No Tsunami Warning Issued - No damage or injuries reported at this time
