A magnitude 4.9 earthquake has struck New Zealand with a depth of 100 km, the quake hit at 02:07 am (NZST) Monday 1st August 2011.
The epicenter was 50 km Northwest of Te Anua, New Zealand
No damage or injuries reported at this time
