A magnitude 5.3 earthquake has struck Northern Peru at a depth of 128.5 km (79.8 miles), the quake hit at 18:16:51 UTC Wednesday 24th August 2011.
The epicenter was 79 km ( 49 miles) NNE of Pucallpa, Peru
