A magnitude 6.8 earthquake has struck Northern Peru at a depth of 145.1 km (90.2 miles), the quake hit at 17:46:11 UTC Wednesday 24th August 2011.
The epicenter was 82 km ( 51 miles) North of Pucallpa, Peru
