A magnitude 4.8 earthquake has struck the Carlsberg Ridge at a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles), the quake hit at 14:54:08 UTC Wednesday 31st August 2011.
The epicenter was 1350 km ( 839 miles) NNE of Victoria, Seychelles
