A magnitude 4.9 earthquake has struck Southern Xinjiang, China at a depth of 14.7 km (9.1 miles), the quake hit at 08:55:31 UTC Friday 26th August 2011.
The epicenter was 185 km ( 115 miles) NNW of Hotan, Xinjiang, China
No reports of Damage or Injuries at this time
