A magnitude 5.3 earthquake has struck Kermadec Islands Region at a depth of 24 km ( 14.9 miles), the quake hit at 16:08:48 UTC Friday 5th August 2011. The epicenter was 135 km (83 miles) Southeast of Raoul Island, Kermadec Islands No Tsunami Warning Issued - No damage or injuries reported at this time
