A magnitude 4.6 earthquake has struck the North Island of New Zealand at a depth of 52 km ( 32 miles), the quake hit at 12:40:10 UTC Saturday 6th August 2011.
The epicenter was 52 km (32 miles) WSW of Rotorua, New Zealand
No damage or injuries reported at this time
